My PHR Story: I’ve been a presenter on various hospital radio stations since the mid 1980s and joined Phoenix after moving to Burton. I used to present on Thursday nights and, after a break to run the family business, have resurfaced on Saturday mornings.

Being a Presenter: The Road To Recovery is three hours of music and entertainment to ease you into the weekend. We take you back in time to look at the charts of years gone by and Al Atkinson pops in to give his take on the week, casts his expert eye over the new films showing locally and to be the butt of my increasingly poor jokes.

Being Me: Away from PHR I’m a season ticket holder at Nottingham Forest, which allows me to remind Al which is the best team in the East Midlands each week. I indulge my love of music by attending as many concerts as possible and look after the family cats, Jake and Elwood.
